A Message from Mr Fairley, Deputy Principal
To say that the latter half of this year has been a challenge for all would be an understatement. However, our staff, students, and our community have worked through those challenges together and we have reached the end of our school year.
Yesterday, we sent our Year 9 and 10 students off to a well-earned summer break following a celebration of their achievements for the year via our final virtual prizegiving. Students were able to celebrate with their peers and their tutors before leaving.
Our senior students are in the final days of their NCEA Examinations, and we wish our departing Year 13 students all the best as they take the next steps on their journey.
We wish our community all the best as we move into the summer holidays – our hope is that all can prioritise time with family/whanau, particularly as Auckland and the rest of the country progress through the traffic light system.
Our planning for next year has seen us working toward how we best cater for the needs of our students as they return for a “normal” year. Having said that, none of us can predict what the next few months hold, so many eventualities have been mapped out.
