An Important Notice from our Nurses

Please be aware that there has been reports of Chickenpox in the community. Chickenpox is  very contagious. The illness starts 10–21 days after being exposed to someone carrying the virus through sneezing, coughing or touch. It causes small itchy blisters on your skin and others can catch it 1-2 days before these appear.

Avoid close contact with other people, stay home from work and keep children home from school for 1 week from the appearance of the rash until all blisters have dried.

Very occasionally chickenpox can be serious, blisters become infected or you feel very unwell. If concerned it is important they are seen immediately by a medical professional.
