Rotary Interact Hygiene Drive

During weeks 3-8, Rotary Interact, led by presidents Samuel Wagner, Yujung Heo and Matelita Elisala, had the pleasure of organizing the MHS Hygiene Drive.

This is an annual event organized by Rotary Interact in support of the health of our community. This has been a yearly initiative since 2018, and this year is no different. Thank you to everyone who helped by donating or supporting the drive, we received over 1100 hygiene products, which was truly our most successful drive yet! This included toothbrushes, toothpastes, sanitary products, deodorants, soaps etc., which all came from donations thanks to you!

The donations were collected by Youth Health Hub representative Junior, in support of Cherill Rave. Both were incredibly pleased with the commitment and service of Massey, which was commended greatly. All the products will go towards The Rainbow Shed and turned into "Rangatahi packs", which will be given to teenagers in need of hygiene products.

Another big thank you goes out to everyone who helped with this year's Daffodil Day. This event took place via a schoolwide yellow shirt day, which saw several students come to school wearing yellow attire in support of Cancer Awareness in NZ. The event raised over $550 in gold coin donations, which will all be donated to The Cancer Society. A massive thank you to Ms. Garratt for helping with the organizing of the event, as well as Ms. Adviento for letting students from the Junior Leadership Program help with the collection of money during period 1.
