Kia ora everyone,

Let me introduce you to an extracurricular opportunity that’s all about leadership, community, and making a real difference, Rotary Interact.

Rotary is a global service club, but it’s also something you can be part of right here at Massey High School. When you join, you’re stepping into a community of people who care about helping others, taking action, and creating positive change. Rotary members work together on projects that support the community such as making donations, celebrating Daffodil Day, Hygiene Drive etc.

By getting involved, you’ll have the chance to work alongside other students and professionals, build your confidence, and develop leadership and teamwork skills that look great on your CV.

Rotary also values kindness, ethical behaviour, and cultural understanding which are skills that help you grow not just as a student, but as a person.

One of the best things about Rotary is the friendships you make. Rotary brings together people from all backgrounds, cultures, and careers, giving you the chance to connect with a people from all works of life. It’s a place where you’ll feel supported, inspired, and encouraged to become an active citizen in your community.

If you’re looking for an extracurricular activity that’s fun, meaningful, and genuinely rewarding, consider joining Rotary Interact. You’ll get the opportunity to serve others, challenge yourself, learn new things, and create lasting change.

Weightlifting:

Massey High School are the reigning champions in Weightlifting, and our dedicated team trains for two major competitions each year. You’ll learn the Olympic lifts, snatch, clean, and jerk, in a safe, supportive environment that pushes you to grow stronger and more confident.

CrossFit:

We’re proud to be one of only two officially affiliated CrossFit gyms in New Zealand. Our programme focuses on strength and conditioning designed to support your performance in all other sports. Training happens at 6am every day in the Terry Smythe Gym, making it easy to build discipline and healthy habits without clashing with school or after‑school commitments. With three qualified CrossFit coaches, you’ll be supported every step of the way.

If you’re keen to get involved in either CrossFit or Weightlifting, fill in the form to sign up and join our growing community of athletes.
