PPTA National Strike Day
We were advised today of the decision that PPTA Union Members have voted for a proposed one-day national strike next week. The national executive has set the potential date for this strike as Wednesday 29th March 2023.
The Massey High School Board has again carefully considered the availability of teaching staff, and unfortunately decided that once again we cannot provide normal instruction during the strike so the school will be officially closed for instruction on the day of the strike.
If making alternative arrangements for care is difficult, we can still supervise a small number of students if required. Please contact the office if your child/children will need this.
School bus routes will not be in operation on that day.
While the industrial action is only proposed at this stage, we anticipate that the strike will take place. Therefore, we will only update you should the industrial action be called off. We believe it is important to give you as much early notification as possible.
