Hospitality Academy Students Cooking up a Storm at NZMA.

As part of our Hospitality Academy STP, (secondary tertiary partnership), programme, our Yr 13 Hospitality students go to NZMA on Symonds Street every Friday for twenty weeks of the year. Here they further their chefs’ training under the guidance of tertiary tutors from NZMA and using the facilities of the commercial kitchens.
Cafes restaurants and hotels are back busier than ever and there has never been a better time to undergo training in the hospitality industry, with a huge demand for skilled staff across the board and our students are getting ready for the next level when they leave school.
On Friday June 17th our students were cooking braised pork belly with white bean cassoulet. They work as a great team and have an extra reason to really look forward to Fridays when they go to NZMA, get cooking and eat their creations.
