Massey High School
The Teachers' Institute (TTI)

Massey High School is proud to have been in the first cohort of partner schools with the TTI.  Its mission is to support schools to ensure their students have access to exceptional teaching and learning by offering high quality teacher training and offering outstanding professional learning for existing teachers.

By choosing this route into teaching you will complete your Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching in one year with fees paid, a stipend and mentoring from expert teachers.  You will be in your host school from day 1 and be fully immersed in the life of the school.

Massey High School is currently seeking high quality candidates for Term 1, 2027.  Applications can be made through the TTI website: teachersinstitute.org.nz.

Auckland Schools' Teacher Training (ASTTP)

Massey High School is proud to be part of the Auckland Schools’ Teacher Training programme, in conjunction with Waikato University, which sees talented trainee teachers work in top Auckland high schools while completing their qualifications.

Trainees spend the year completing coursework remotely with the University of Waikato while working on-site at Massey High School

By training on-site trainees will be mentored by experts in their subject-area specialisation. This immersion track takes one year - fees will be covered, a stipend is provided, and it is possible to earn as you train, by applying for a Limited Authority to teach (terms and conditions apply).

Massey High School welcomes applications from prospective teachers in all subject areas, with STEM specialists particularly sought. We are currently seeking applicants for 2027.
