| Diving into Success: Massey High's Swimming Champions! | India MacDonald of 10KTM swims for Mt Eden Swimming Club and also regularly competes for Muriwai Surf at National level competitions. At swim sports she won the 50m Backstroke, Fly and Freestyle along with the 100m IM and the 100m Freestyle which this trophy is for. Theses distances are very short for India, she is more comfortable swimming in the sea or a lake. Next weekend she is representing Massey High at the National Secondary Schools Open Water Championships held in Lake Rotorua, where she will be swimming 3.5km. Vaughn van der Kraaij of 9KVS swims with the Waitakere Swimming Club. Last weekend Vaughn competed at the Auckland Age Group championships gaining final places in all his events the 50, 100 and 200m Freestyle along with the 50m Butterfly. He has also gained National Qualifying times in these events and at the end of this term will be competing at the National Age Groups down in the Hawkes Bay. He will also represent Massey High School at the National Secondary Schools Championships in July. India and Vaughn are very worthy recipients of these trophies.
