Ministry of Education’s Community Partnerships Team 2025 Academic Awards Night
The 2025 Academic Awards Night was held on Monday, 5th May. The Community Partnerships Team works with the community and ethnic groups to connect with migrant and former refugee students and families.
The criteria to get an award at this evening was to have attained excellent results at NCEA Level 2 or above and to have represented your ethnic group well at your school.
Massey High School’s nominees were Princess Florielle Collada and Joudi Al Kak. They were accompanied to the ceremony by their parents and Mr Hussain Al-Obaidi.

PRINCESS FLORIELLE COLLADA
Princess is a dedicated student, who has achieved NCEA Level 2 with Excellence and NCEA Level 1 with Merit. As part of her Level 2 Qualification, she also gained 2 Excellence Subject Endorsements and 3 Merit Subject Endorsements. She not only studies diligently – she is also involved in extra-curricular activities such as Choir, Library assistants, and has been one of the leaders of our Filipino group. Princess is a Gold Badge Prefect this year.
JOUDI AL KAK
Joudi is a diligent student, who does all her work with dedication. She gained NCEA Level 1 with Merit and gained NCEA level 2 with 32 Merit or Excellence credits. She is also involved in extra-curricular activities, including helping beginner English Language students at our after-school club, the establishment of our school’s Multi-Cultural Alliance group, Badminton and a Library assistant.
