Principals' Breakfast 2026
Held on Friday 1st May at 7:45am.
This annual breakfast was held at Massey High School on 1 May 2026 and hosted by our Hospitality Academy students. They worked with our Hospitality tutors especially Mr Scott Wright, to design and deliver a formal breakfast. It is a breakfast to honour the Learning Leaders of our local schools who send students to MHS, and some of our students who attended those schools five years back.
The breakfast consisted of coffee, tea, kranskys, hash browns, sour dough bread, pesto tomatoes, mushrooms and aioli from the kitchen team and delivered by our front of house waiting students. There were approximately 100 breakfasts to cook and deliver. It was a very impressive job by all concerned.
Our Gold, Silver badge prefects and senior students who attended the primary schools before coming to MHS were invited and it was very empowering for the leadership from the primary schools to meet their students five years later.
We also thank Ms Hayley Garratt for organising the senior students and hope to see the local schools back here next year.
Our Hospitality students are also now looking forward to hosting their first formal dinner, which is on 14th May for the Rotary Club. This will involve homemade focaccia bread served with balsamic vinegar olive oil and dips for starters. The mains will be braised beef cheek, mediterranean‑style baked savoury pudding, honey‑roasted kumara, red wine jus, mascarpone pesto and for dessert a special Tiramisu. That sounds so good!
