Gaining Experience, Building Confidence

Valuable Industry Experience for our Tourism Students

We are incredibly proud of four of our Year 13 Tourism Academy students, Tadila Alemayahu, Vaiki Ofati, Rosie Thang and Lena Aotele (not pictured) who volunteered at the Hello World Cruise Expo held at the Albany Tennis Centre on Saturday morning.

The students represented Massey High School with professionalism, confidence, and enthusiasm as they welcomed guests, checked in pre-registered clients, and ensured attendees received all the relevant cruise and travel information.

Throughout the event, the girls received excellent feedback for their positive attitude, communication skills, and willingness to help.

Opportunities like this provide invaluable real-world experience for students interested in the tourism and travel industry, while also allowing them to build connections and network with industry professionals.

We are extremely proud of the way these students conducted themselves and grateful to Hello World Westgate for providing such a fantastic opportunity for our Tourism Academy students to gain authentic industry experience. Well done, girls, you were outstanding ambassadors for our school!
