Former Student Earns Prestigious NASA Internship

Congratulations to Tom Phillips (student 2016–2020) on being selected as one of just seven recipients of the 2026 New Zealand Space Scholarship.

Currently completing a Master of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Auckland, Tom is spending three months at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in California, where he will contribute to the UCIS-Moon project, helping to develop and improve technology for space exploration.

Tom described the scholarship as "the kind of thing you dream about when you're a little kid."
