We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Massey High School student Akira Taingahue, who has been awarded a Bronze Scholarship from the Don Oliver Youth Sports Foundation, recognising his exceptional success in both CrossFit and Weightlifting.
Following an impressive year of competing and achieving success at both national and international levels, Akira's dedication, determination and commitment to his sports have been recognised through this scholarship.
The Bronze Scholarship not only acknowledges Akira's achievements over the past year but also provides valuable financial support towards his ongoing training, development and future sporting goals.
Members of Akira's coaching team had the pleasure of attending the scholarship presentation evening and sharing in this special moment. A particular highlight of the evening was Akira's acceptance speech, which was thoughtfully written and confidently delivered. He represented himself, his whānau and Massey High School with pride.
Akira's achievements are a reflection of the hard work, discipline and commitment required to compete at such a high level, and we look forward to following his continued success in both CrossFit and Weightlifting.
Congratulations, Akira! This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of everything you have accomplished so far. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for you!
