Week 3 of Term 4 was packed with opportunities to get involved, show some creativity and celebrate school spirit! As part of Cultural Week, our Year 13 students also enjoyed their very own Y13 Spirit Week, with a different theme for each day and plenty of fun along the way.
The week kicked off on Tuesday 27 October with Dress as Your Childhood Dream Job. Students stepped back in time and dressed up as what they had dreamed of becoming when they were younger. From builders and fairies to astronauts and superheroes, there was plenty of imagination on display!
On Wednesday 28 October, things got creative for Anything But a Bag Day. Backpacks were swapped for some wonderfully unusual alternatives, as students thought outside the box and found unexpected ways to carry their belongings.
Thursday 29 October saw students take inspiration from their favourite educators for Dress as a Teacher Day. Students dressed up as Massey High School teachers, recreating their signature styles and giving classmates the challenge of guessing who they were!
The week wrapped up on Friday 30 October with a fantastic celebration of culture and school spirit. Cultural Dress Day gave students the opportunity to proudly represent and celebrate their cultures through traditional and cultural clothing. The day also featured the much-anticipated Year 13 vs Staff football match, bringing some friendly competition to the field at lunchtime, alongside a free sausage sizzle for everyone to enjoy.
From creative costumes and hilarious bag alternatives to cultural pride and sporting rivalry, Y13 Spirit Week was a fantastic way to bring the school community together and make Week 3 one to remember!
